WILL THIS TREATMENT WORK FOR ME?
The best candidate is someone with acne and/or acne-related facial or body inflammation.
For safety reasons, you may not be able to get this treatment if you have/are: Pregnant or nursing / using Ruacatan / have excessively tanned skin.
Venus Versa™ acne treatments work best for light to medium skin tones. The treatment may work on darker skin, but there is a higher risk
of discolouration because darker skin has more pigment. It's best to consult with us first to see if you'd be a good fit.
DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING BEFORE THE TREATMENT?
Make sure your skin is clean. Do not apply any lotions, creams or makeup before your session, and stop using products that might
irritate your skin 2-3 days before. Avoid any type of tanning.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE TREATMENT?
We will use the innovative Venus Versa™ Acne Dual applicator on your skin to administer bright red and blue light onto your skin.
You will feel a small, almost pain-free snap with an elastic band against your skin as the applicator moves around the treatment area as well as a slightly warm sensation.
The blue light destroys acne bacteria in the oil glands (Propionibacterium acnes is the main bacteria that cause the breakouts), and the red light reduces existing acne-related inflammation to promote faster healing.
At the same time, an advanced real-time cooling system protects skin from heat, making the treatment even more comfortable.
You will see optimal results if you do two weekly treatments, with an obvious reducing inflammation, redness, and overall appearance of acne on the treated area.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?
None. You can continue your day after this short treatment.
HOW LONG WOULD THE RESULT LAST?
It depends on your skin's severity and how well you take care of it after your treatment. We recommend a touch-up session twice a month, then monthly. Once the acne starts clearing up, you can increase the time between maintenance treatments, depending on how your skin responds.
